Nothing quite like Opening Day
The baseball season began anew on Sunday and gets into full swing today.The new season always brings about renewed feelings of hope for your team, even if it doesn't last much past April.
That's part of the magic of baseball and part of the reason why I always look forward to this time of year.
Football for most has been over for nearly three months now, or two if you happen to be a fan of the six-time Super Bowl champion Steelers. (Sorry, had to mention it again.)
And for those of us who don't really have an NBA team or a college basketball team to watch, they are two of the longest months in all of sports.
Most of us only survive by watching whatever spring training games we can find (thank you MLB Network) and by getting back in to the NHL playoff hunt.
But now those days are done, and for the next six months, every day brings something new to watch.
